The club, nicknamed the "BlackBirds", play at School Lane - as part of the agreement Godalming agreed to change their name to Puttenham to represent the first Puttenham football club in the village for approximately twenty-five years. The club's goal is to bring the community together and make history within the local area. They are Surrey FA affiliated and play their matches throughout Surrey, which includes the League, League Cup and County Cup, which covers part of London. Puttenham United FC was originally formed with the dream and plan to go from the lowest Saturday division possible (Guildford & Woking Alliance Division 4) to playing in the FA Cup Qualifying Rounds (Combined Counties Premier Division) in only twelve seasons, giving opportunities to the local boys and fans to become part of the quickest-growing club in the area. Four seasons in and Puttenham are one promotion behind the original plan, having finished third in Division One last season. 2009/10 should be their best season yet, with a settled squad in place, their Manager returning and some promising new signings lined up. Successful In addition there is now a structured board in place. The club has a Commercial Manager to take care of all marketing and PR and have recently introduced two new coaches, one being FA qualified and the second training for his UEFA B badge. Puttenham have their own ground and clubhouse situated at Puttenham Village. "This would be an ideal opportunity for a company or business to sponsor our succesful up-and-coming club by having their company logo branded on our team shirts, equipment and through advertising and PR in the local paper, local magazine and on our website at www.puttenhamunitedfc.co.uk. "If you are looking to invest into a great club with a brilliant atmosphere and huge ambitions then this is the club". Contact: Richard Perham - 07843350223
